Our focus is you…
Our focus is you.
At Muscle Matters we aim to exceed your expectations – we concentrate on ensuring you receive great customer service combined with the best possible outcomes and advice relevant to your individual situation. After all, our clients are our business – everything we do is structured around giving you the best level of care and results that you can genuinely feel. We want you to have a great experience, one that you take away and benefit from long after your appointment has finished.
We apply both a clinical and a deeply intuative understanding of your body and its functions to determine the best course of treatment that is required. We are able to quickly establish the appropriate methodologies to help your individual needs, and do not hesitate to seek and reccommend the help of other respected medical practitioners for your benefit when it is required.
We treat the cause of your pain as well as the symptoms. We are passionate about the mind body connection and establishing ways of reducing or eliminating chronic pain. We are not afraid to look outside the square when we need to. Everyone we treat is unique, and as a result has their own personal treatment plan that we explain to them and encourage them to follow to enhance their own wellbeing.
Behind the scenes
Muscle Matters has been providing professional care to clients in Yackandandah and surrounding regions since 2012. Our principal Myotherapist, Karlie Grant, has more than 19 years experience working in the industry after gaining her qualifications at RMIT. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve and maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle by providing the best possible patient care and treatment outcomes. She has earned an enviable reputation for her ability to empower and assist people who are in pain and have been “everywhere else” but are still not improving. Patients have travelled from as far as Melbourne to benefit from her skills.
Karlie has experience working with elite athletes including 12 months with Melbourne Storm as a Myotherapist and Sports Rehabilitation therapist. She also assists local sporting clubs with their training needs as well as individual athetes and other people serious about their personal sporting goals.
She is regarded as a leading therapist in the treatment of patients who suffer from Fibromyalgia and other chronic pain disorders, as well as those effected by Merriman-Hewitt syndrome. She is also a qualified corrective rehabilitation practitioner specialising in the use of Kinetic Link Training (KLT)
Understanding that people also need to simply unwind and relax, and just how important this is to your general health, Karlie provides her clients with relaxation massage services and has been trained in traditional Chinese Hot Stone therapy – the ultimate in relaxation therapies.
